Ottawa, Canada born singer / songwriter Chris McCann has two albums to her credit, “It’s My Party”, a live album packed with party favourites, and a Christmas album, “To Santa With Love”, a collection of Christmas holiday fun. Her rich, throaty voice, engaging personality and wry sense of humour make Chris a favourite of the Ottawa Valley music scene.

Chris also participated in the legendary “The Christmas in the Valley” radio/album project which benefited the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. She joined the likes of Wayne Rostad, Colleen Peterson, Charlie Major and The Family Brown in performing holiday favourites.

1979

Chris’ song “Dance with me Darlin'”wins Certificate of Merit in Nashville.

1982

Chris wins the National Competion for the Offical “Song for Ottawa” and is the CKBY Talent search Winner that same year.

1986

Chris entertains Canadian Troops in Boznia.

2000

Her music takes her to Europe, the Caribbean, the U.S.A., and other far away places, and she continues to sing and entertain folks from all over the world with Royal Caribbean Cruises.

2005

Chris is nominated for Employee of the Month on the “Majesty of the Seas”

2007

Chris is nominated for Employee of the Month on the “Freedom of the Seas”

2009

Chris is inducted into the Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame and receives the prestigious “Entertainer Award”.

Besides making a living performing, Chris also devotes a great portion of her time to fund raising in the Ottawa area. The cause closest to her heart is that of the “Canadian Leukemia Studies Group” due in part by the fact that the disease took the life of her mother Joan. The search for a cure, or at the least to ensure that victims of Leukemia can have a better quality of life and more tolerant treatments. is their goal.
